Event Description
<p>What does it take for a government minister to turn a development priority into meaningful change, despite competing priorities in today’s complex world? Join the Harvard Center for International Development (CID), the Harvard Ministerial Leadership Program (HMLP), and the Harvard Center for African Studies (CAS) for a unique conversation with ministers from Ghana, Namibia, Benin, the Dominican Republic, Guinea, and others.</p><p> </p><p>Hear directly from public leaders as they share how they define and prioritize development goals, translate them into policy, and navigate implementation challenges to achieve impact. Moderated by Dr. Vanessa Kerry, the conversation will explore how leaders turn ambitious visions into effective policies and what it takes to create lasting impact in today’s complex world. Dr. Ernest Addison, CID Senior Fellow and former Governor of the Central Bank of Ghana, will offer concluding remarks.</p><p> </p><p><strong>This event is hosted by the Harvard’s Center for International Development, the Harvard Ministerial Leadership Program, and the Center for African Studies (CAS) and will be held in person. Attendance is open to Harvard ID holders only. Registration is required.</strong></p>
