Event Description
<p>Join the <a href="https://www.belfercenter.org/programs/intelligence-project" target="_blank">Intelligence Projec</a>t on Wednesday, February 18th, for a seminar with Lorie Roule, a former CIA senior officer, and current Senior Executive with Transparent Language, Inc. Ms. Roule will provide a insight into what working in intelligence looks like, through the lens of her own career, including work in operations, language-centric roles, and talent management. She will share observations of skills that are applicable to intelligence work and beyond as well as advice on preparing for and navigating a career in the field of intelligence. Registration is required. Light refreshments will be served.</strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>Lorie Roule</strong> is a Senior Executive with <a href="https://www.transparent.com/" target="_blank">Transparent Language, Inc.</a> (a language learning technology company) and a former Central Intelligence Agency senior officer with extensive experience in foreign language learning and linguistic services within the Intelligence Community. During her several decades of service with CIA, she worked on Middle East and counterterrorism issues, during which time she put her own foreign language skills to good use. Ms. Roule also serves on the advisory board of Planet Word Museum in Washington, D.C. and is a member of the language advocacy organization, Global Virginia.</p>
